- Stay in Deira or Bur Dubai. Hotels cost far less than in Downtown, and the Metro takes you everywhere.
- Use the Metro. Buy a Nol card at the airport.
- Book the Burj Khalifa early or late. Non-peak time slots are cheaper than sunset.
- Eat where the workers eat. Karama and Deira have excellent, inexpensive restaurants.
- Enjoy the free sights. The Dubai Fountain show, the creek and the beaches cost nothing.
- Travel in shoulder season. October and April are warm with lower prices.
- Bundle your visa, hotel and transfers. Packages often cost less than booking each part separately.
